Privacy notice
How we handle your data
Last updated 2023-10-01.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Zealand Defence Systems, Industrivej 21, 4000 Roskilde, Denmark, with company registration number 45468445. For any question about this notice or about your personal data, contact privacy@zealanddefence.com.
What we collect, and only when you send it
This site has no accounts and no tracking. The only personal data we hold is what you type into the contact form and submit: your name, company name, company web site, e-mail address, telephone number, an optional Signal username, and an optional message.
Our web server also records your IP address alongside the enquiry, and in its own access logs. The IP address is kept to detect and limit automated abuse of the form.
Why we use it
Solely to respond to your enquiry and to correspond with you about it. We do not use it for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not profile you.
The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries addressed to us, and in protecting the form against automated abuse. Where your enquiry leads to a contractual relationship, the basis for continued correspondence becomes the performance of that contract.
Who we share it with
Nobody. We do not share, sell, rent or otherwise disclose your details to any third party. There is no advertising network, no analytics provider, no customer-relationship platform and no CAPTCHA service involved in this form.
This site loads no resources from other companies at all — no external scripts, fonts, images or frames — so no third party observes your visit. Your data is processed on infrastructure we control and is not transferred outside the EEA.
We would disclose data only where we are legally obliged to, for example in response to a valid order from a competent authority.
Cookies
We set exactly one cookie, and only on the contact page. It is a
session cookie named zdssid that exists to protect the
form against cross-site request forgery. It contains no personal data,
is not used to identify or track you, and is discarded when you close
your browser. There are no analytics, advertising or preference
cookies, so there is nothing to consent to and no cookie banner.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are deleted automatically 12 months after we receive them. If your enquiry becomes an ongoing business relationship, the related correspondence is retained pertaining to the relationship. Web server access logs are kept for 12 months.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. To exercise any of these, write to privacy@zealanddefence.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to your national supervisory authority — in Denmark, Datatilsynet.
Please do not send sensitive material
The contact form is an ordinary public web form. Do not use it to send classified, export-controlled or otherwise sensitive information. If you need a protected channel, say so in your enquiry and we will arrange one.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and revise the date above.
