Zealand Defence Systems

Based in the Danish region of Zealand, Zealand Defence Systems (ZDS) is developing the next generation of cost-effective and mass-producible air defence based on European supply-chains, hybrid rocket propulsion and a ground breaking energetic system reducing the need for explosive ordnances.

The propulsion systems are free from exotic supply-chain dependencies as it combines a solid fuel-grain with a liquid or gaseous oxidizer. This allow the rockets to be ignited, throttled and shut down during operation — simpler and safer than a liquid rocket motor, and more flexible than a solid rocket motor.
